Important FAFSA Information for c/o 2024!
Attention Class of 2024:
Today I informed you that you will need to complete the FAFSA before you can graduate from high school OR apply for any local or school scholarships.  You and your parents will both need a FSA id# to complete your FAFSA.  Be sure to write down your login and password information as this will be utilized to access your FAFSA throughout your higher education learning (jr. college, university, or trade school).

The FAFSA checklist is attached below.  An opt-out form must be signed if your parent refuses to complete the FAFSA; this form is attached as well.  It must be completed and returned to me for you to be able to "walk" at graduation.

If you plan to apply to a college or university, many accept the Texas "common application".  I am including a link for you to use to complete the application.  Texas Common Application

Finally, please plan to come to the College, Career, and Military Readiness Fair from 5:30-7:00 at the high school on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2024.  Your parents are encouraged to attend as well.  Many colleges who did not attend our Fall college fair, military personnel, TSTC, and local businesses will be here to help you with applications, answer questions, and to complete the FAFSA.  We will provide a light snack/supper and door prizes.  Many colleges will waive your application fee if you apply that night.

The class of 2025 is also invited to attend as well to visit and ask questions!  You are welcome to complete the FSA, but will not need to complete the FAFSA or Texas Common Application until next year.
